The persian miniaturist of the Isfahan School during the later Safavid period and widely celebrated as the last great master of the Persian miniature. A prominent court artist for Shah Abbas I, he is best known for his exquisite single miniatures created for albums (muraqqa), particularly his stylized figures of beautiful youths.
